Between 1989 and 1992, Trevor Borthwick was a senior analyst and programmer at Philips Information Technology Division in Dubai. There, he implemented banking solutions for major institutions like Oman International Bank, establishing a strong foundation in financial systems and enterprise computing.
In 2007, Mr. Borthwick joined the Bank of Montreal as a senior technical specialist, where he quickly established himself as a technical authority. In this role, he designed and delivered complex software solutions while mentoring development teams and driving engineering excellence.
He later worked as a software development manager at BMO, where he spearheaded AWS cloud adoption initiatives, managed multidisciplinary teams, and led proof-of-concept projects that translated into enterprise-scale solutions.
